Sharing photos
Send one photo to someone you trust.
You can share a picture from your phone’s Photos, Gallery, or Google Photos app. Check who will receive it before sending.
On an iPhone
- Open Photos and tap the picture.
- Tap the square-and-arrow Share button.
- Choose Messages or another app you already use.
- Choose the person, confirm their name, and tap send.

- Open Google Photos or the Gallery app.
- Tap the photo to open it.
- Tap Share and choose your usual messaging app.
- Choose the person and tap send.

A small privacy check
Some photo apps offer a shareable link. Anyone with that link may be able to see the shared photo or album. For one picture to one person, sending it in a private message may be simpler. If you use a link, share it only with the intended person.
